He was born in nearby Bonners Ferry but was raised in Crested Butte, CO. Before settling in Sandpoint and starting a family, Tom served three years on the USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) and served as an EN in Desert Strike. Before being honorably discharged, he earned a CAP to an E4 and a Letter of Commendation from the Rear Admiral of the US Navy. During times of leisure, you might find Tom and his family swimming at the beach in Sunnyside, camping, boating, fishing or skiing the mountain at Schweitzer.
